The first step in managing stress is to identify the things that are causing it. This could be work, family, relationships, finances, or health. Once you know what is causing your stress, you can take steps to address it.

GET REGULAR HEALTH SCREENING:

Regular health screenings can help identify potential health problems early, when they are easier to treat. Do not wait until you are sick, make it a habit to get screening even when you feel good.

AVOID UNHEALTHY HABITS:

Physical activity can help improve cardiovascular health, maintain muscle mass and bone density, and improve mental health. Exercises may not be formal, sometimes, take a walk, press ups at home, swimming at pools, doing some work at home that makes you sweat etc could help you stay active and help you live a healthier and longer life.

Do you know why some retired people die earlier than they should have?  May be not engaging in some of the activities we have outlined. When you sit down and enjoy your pension and forget to engage in activities as when you were going to work, early death sets in.

STAY MENTALLY ACTIVE:

Engaging in mentally stimulating activities, such as reading, doing puzzles, or learning a new skill, can help maintain cognitive function and reduce the risk of cognitive decline.

BUILD STRONG SOCIAL CONNECTIONS:

Having strong social connections and a support network can help improve mental health and reduce the risk of isolation and loneliness. These days, joining chat groups in various social media platforms could keep you updated with latest news around your environment and the world at large.

It's important to note that while these factors can help increase lifespan and promote overall health, there is no guaranteed way to live longer. However, by making healthy lifestyle choices and managing any health issues, individuals can improve their overall health and quality of life, potentially leading to a longer and healthier life.
