Today we shall discuss on personal hygiene and how it could help you as an individual to prevent yourself and others to be protected and prevented from diseases that keeping personal hygiene could help.


WHAT PERSONAL HYGIENE MEANS:


Personal hygiene is an essential practice that helps prevent the spread of diseases and illness. By maintaining good hygiene habits, you can reduce your risk of getting sick and also protect others from getting infected. 


SOME WAYS PERSONAL HYGIENE CAN PREVENT DISEASES:


WASHING OF YOUR HANDS:


Most times, the disease-causing organisms are found in our hands, as the hands are the principal part of the body used most often.  So washing your hands with soap and water or using a hand sanitizer can help to kill the possible germs in our hands and prevent the spread of disease. It is especially important to wash your hands before eating or touching your face, and after using the restroom, blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.


ORAL HYGIENE:


Regularly brushing your teeth at least two times and flossing daily can help to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. This can also help to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria that can lead to illnesses.


SHOWERING AND BATHING:


Regularly taking your bath helps to remove dirt, sweat, and bacteria from your skin, thereby reduces the risk of infection and disease. It is important to shower after exercise or other physical activities that cause sweating.


CLEANING AND DISINFECTING:


Keep your living spaces clean and disinfect them, this  can help to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. This includes regularly cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, and light switches. In fact, it is best to clean any of the items that you regularly get in touch with, this way, disease-causing agents may not harm you by making you sick.


COVER TOUR MOUTH AND NOSE:


In the event that you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose, this can help prevent the spread of germs. You should use a tissue or your elbow to cover your mouth and nose, rather than your hands.This  way, you may  not forget and use the hands to either touch your mouth or nose through which germs could enter your body and cause sickness.


AVOID CLOSE CONTACT WITH SICK PEOPLE:


A much as possible, stay away from people who are sick, this  can help prevent the spread of disease. In case you are sick, it is important to stay at home to avoid spreading your illness to others.


By practicing good personal hygiene, you can reduce your risk of getting sick and help prevent the spread of disease to others.


BEST WAYS TO PREVENT YOU FROM DISEASES:


Though there are several ways to prevent diseases and stay healthy.  We shall discuss some of the most effective methods below-


GET YOURSELF VACCINATED:


Vaccines are a safe and effective way to prevent many infectious diseases. Make sure you and your family members are up-to-date on all recommended vaccines.


PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE:


As it has been mentioned earlier, maintaining good personal hygiene is essential to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Washing your hands, covering your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and avoiding close contact with sick people are all important hygiene practices.


EAT A HEALTHY DIET:


A healthy diet can help boost your immune system and prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Make sure to eat a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats.


EXERCISE REGULARLY:

AVOID SMOKING AND EXCESSIVE ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION:
