The Coalition of Southwest PDP Mass Movements endorse Dr. Philips Omeiza Salawu as their choice for the substantive National Chairman of the party come October 24th 2024 at the SELECTION SESSION of the proposed NEC Meeting.
In a bid to strengthen democracy in Nigeria, the Mass Movements of the SouthWest PDP has resolved to go with the candidature of Dr Phillips Omeiza Salawu, based on his track records as a real party man and a successful person who had worked in different corridors of power.
Dr. Salawu has served in the Executive Arm of Governance, after serving as a Political Party Administrator in the sensitive National Directorate of Finance of the PDP as its first National Director.
He is now a lawyer by profession, but he had successfully managed the public sector affairs as the Deputy Governor of his State for nine years, 2003-2012, without quarreling with his political boss.
He had contributed his material, intellectual, professional, technical and logistic resources to the foundation and the growth of PDP since October 1998 when he was formally employed at the PDP National Secretariat.
Dr. Salawu is from the North Central GeoPolitical Zone, the very Political Axis that has the constitutional right to supply the replacement of Senator Iyorchia Ayu who had stepped aside from the helm of affairs of the party.
Dr. Salawu’s endorsement by the PDP Southwest group came because of his exceptional qualities in the areas of Political Experience, Integrity, Neutrality, Courage, Leadership Capacity and his tested ability to remain calm in periods of tensions and pressures.
In view of the starling qualities of Dr. Phillips Omeiza Salawu, he is hereby strongly recommended to the National Organs of PDP for their due consideration, for his eventual selection as the Substantive National Chairman of the Party.
Signed.
Comrade Ayo Oyeyemi national coordinator,
PDP Southwest Mass Movement.
