Gov. Diri attends burial of Deputy Governor's elder brother 
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today, attended the burial of Dr. Nathaniel Tuesday Ewhrudjakpo in Ofoni community, Sagbama Local Government Area.

Dr. Ewhrudjakpo who died on the 22nd of June, 2024 at the age of 60 years is elder brother of Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.

"As sad as it is, that we lost somebody who was still in his prime, and there to contribute to the development of his community, clan and our dear state, we still give God the glory, because the Bible admonishes us that, in everything, we should give Him thanks.

And so, I stand on behalf of the government and good people of Bayelsa State, to convey our heartfelt  condolences to His Excellency, the Deputy Governor and the Ewhrudjakpo family, the people of Ofoni community and Tarakiri Clan. We pray that the Ewhrudjakpo family will be granted the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss," Governor Diri stated.

The governor was accompanied to the funeral by, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly and other members of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Agwana, Chairman, People's Democratic Party, Bayelsa State chapter and members of the state working committee, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Secretary to the State Government, members of the state executive council, Local Government Chairmen, HRM King Bubaraye Dakolo, AGADA IV, Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama kingdom and chairman, Bayelsa State council of Traditional Rulers, members of the Clergy and other top government officials.
