Governor Douye Diri, who assumed office on February 14, 2020, embarked on a mission to transform Bayelsa's infrastructural landscape. His administration focused on key sectors such as transportation, healthcare, education, and social amenities, aiming to improve the quality of life for Bayelsans and lay the foundation for sustainable development.

Transportation Infrastructure

Road Construction and Rehabilitation

One of the cornerstones of Governor Douye Diri's infrastructure agenda was the development of road networks across Bayelsa State. The state, characterized by its difficult terrain of mangroves and swamps, posed significant challenges to road construction. However, Diri's administration made notable strides in this area.

1. The Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie Road:

2. Tombia Roundabout:

2. General Hospital, Sagbama:

   • Similar upgrades were carried out at the General Hospital in Sagbama. The improvements included the renovation of existing structures and the provision of new medical equipment to enhance service delivery.

1. Mother and Child Hospital, Yenagoa:
