According to the report from the Vanguard, a tragic incident unfolded in Kaduna State, Nigeria, as terrorists launched an attack on a church in the Bakinpah-Maro community of Kajuru Local Government Area on Sunday. The assault resulted in the loss of three lives and the abduction of numerous individuals, including a pastor.

While official police statements are pending, Cafra Caino, the former chairman of Kajuru LGA, has confirmed the occurrence. According to Caino, "The terrorists, who arrived arround 10:00am in large numbers, targeted the ECWA and Catholic church. Among those abducted is Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches."

Caino further stated that the terrorists kidnapped approximately 30 people during the attack.

This incident comes in the wake of community efforts to enhance security in the area. Recently, local residents had pooled resources to construct a security post, aiming to attract more law enforcement personnel to the region.

The Bakinpah-Maro community has been subject to repeated terrorist incursions, which have had a severe impact on local agriculture. Many farmers have been forced to abandon their lands due to the persistent threat of violence.

This latest attack underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in Kaduna State and raises questions about the effectiveness of current measures to protect vulnerable populations.

As authorities work to respond to this incident, concerns grow about the safety of those abducted and the long-term security of the region. The situation continues to develop, with many calling for increased efforts to combat terrorism and protect rural communities in Nigeria
