Politicians Who Decamp Should Lose Their Positions

Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, a prominent Ijaw leader, has made a strong statement regarding the political future of former Governor Nyesom Wike. Sara-Igbe emphasized that the law is unequivocal concerning politicians who switch political parties, asserting that such individuals automatically forfeit their government positions. He expressed frustration with the judiciary for sidestepping this issue, accusing them of relying on technicalities rather than addressing the core legal principles.

"The law is very clear: when you decamp, you are no longer in government, you must go. It means you resigned. So, if the courts are using technicalities to scratch the case without opening it up, we will get there," he stated during an interview with Symfoni.

The Role of Karma in Wike’s Downfall

According to Sara-Igbe, Wike’s political career is on borrowed time, and he believes that the law of karma—or nemesis—is already catching up with him. He suggested that Wike’s disrespectful behavior, especially towards elders, will soon lead to his downfall.

"So, Wike’s time is numbered; his days are numbered because Nemesis is getting hold of him and will continue to pursue him," Sara-Igbe declared.

Disrespect Towards Chief Edwin Clark and Other Elders

Chief Sara-Igbe specifically condemned Wike for his derogatory remarks towards respected Ijaw elder, Chief Edwin Clark. He warned that Wike’s insults will eventually come back to haunt him, predicting that Wike will face the same level of disrespect he has shown.

"The insult he's giving to elders like Chief Edwin Clark will still come back on him, and he will be so insulted," Sara-Igbe warned, adding that only time will reveal the full consequences of Wike’s actions and words.

Dismissal of Ijaw Communities

Sara-Igbe also took issue with Wike’s comments about Ijaw communities in Rivers State, accusing him of dismissing their significance by labeling them as a small group. Wike had reportedly referred to the Ijaw communities in Rivers East and Rivers Southeast as being insignificant, claiming they represented only two local government areas.

"He [Wike] came with a statement and said the Ijaw communities in Rivers East and Rivers Southeast are just two local governments. He has forgotten that the Obigbo people he’s talking about in that government are Ijaw. He thinks Ijaw people are just a small group," Sara-Igbe noted.

Conclusion: Time Will Reveal Wike’s Fate

In conclusion, Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe affirmed his belief that Wike’s behavior, particularly his disregard for the Ijaw people and his disrespect towards elders, will not go unpunished. According to Sara-Igbe, the law of karma is already working against Wike, and in time, the consequences of his actions will become apparent to all
