As the Party, PDP, is presently at its lowest ebb, something must be done urgently, to halt and reverse these negative trends.

The right man to lead the Team that would carry out the Crucial Assignments of RECONCILIATION, RECONSTRUCTION and RESTORATION, is Dr. Phillips Omeiza SALAWU, the Candidate for the PDP National Chairmanship Portfolio in the Party’s forthcoming National Convention.

Barrister Phillips Omeiza SALAWU possesses the following qualities for the Team Leadership of the PDP for the RECONCILIATION,RECONSTRUCTION; and the RESTORATION of the Party’s lost glory:

1.KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY OF THE PARTY:

Dr. Phillips Salawu has the relevant Historical Knowledge of the Party, PDP and knows the various Political Tendencies that came together in August 1998 to form the PDP, the biggest Political Movement in Africa. He was a founding Member/Father of the Party in August 1998 when the PDP was officially formed.

At the very young age of the party, Dr. Phillips Omeiza Salawu deployed his intellectual, professional, technical, institutional, material and logistic resources for the solid foundation of the party, thereby giving the party a competitive edge at the December 1998 Local Government elections when PDP had the overwhelming success of controlling over 65% of 774 LGAs Nationwide, thereby creating the strategic Bandwagon effects that were enjoyed by the PDP upto 2015 General Elections; and thereafter the rest became history todate.

Dr. Salawu was on ground in August 1998 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja FCT where the name, People’s Democratic Party, was first pronounced to the whole World by the Founding Fathers.

Dr. Phillips O Salawu has a deep knowledge of the Geo-Political Complexities of the Nigerian State, he knows the Socio-Political Peculiarities of each Zone and how best to address their emerging issues.

2. FAIRNESS.
He will give every one fair hearing and equal opportunity irrespective of the power bloc concerned.

3.COURAGE.
By virtue of his training, experience, professional backgrounds, maturity, calmness, self-discipline; he is not frightened by tense situations and he is able to confront issues as they arise for effective resolutions, without fear or favour.

4.PATIENCE.

He is patient enough to listen to complaints from all sides but firm and decisive in the attainment of the set goals.

5.PARTY ADMINISTRATION.

He was at the National Secretariat of the Party, PDP, from Day-One in August 1998 and held a Sensitive Portfolio as the First National Director of Finance. 

He used his Professional Knowledge as a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker, to design and implement the Accounting System of the Party to conform with the guidelines of the Regulatory Authorities such as the INEC. 

By virtue of his peculiar Portfolio at the National Secretariat, he worked closely with the different organs of the Party and was able to manage sensitive information he encountered in the ordinary course of his Official Duties.

6.CLEAR VISION AND MISSION.

Dr. Phillips Omeiza SALAWU, a Chartered Mediator and a Chartered Conciliator, has clear Vision and Mission for the Party, PDP.

His Vision and Mission to Reposition PDP are contained in his 3-Point Program encoded in the “3-R” Policy Agenda of:

RECONCILIATION,

RECONSTRUCTION  and 

RESTORATION.
