A NATIONAL HOMECOMING: THE SPIRITUAL REAWAKENING OF 2026

INTERNATIONAL NEWS- In what many are calling a defining moment for the American soul, President Donald Trump has issued a call that transcends typical policy and enters the realm of the heart. He has invited the country to a "National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving"—an event officially dubbed "Rededicate 250." Set for May 17, 2026, on the National Mall, this isn’t just a celebration of a 250th anniversary; it is being framed as a spiritual milestone. For those gathering in Washington, D.C., the message is clear: the American story isn't just about a constitution—it’s about a calling.

BEYOND POLITICS: A MISSION OF DELIVERANCE

For many who see the President as more than a political figure, this initiative feels like a long-awaited "Exodus." There is a growing sense among supporters that the nation is being led out of a wilderness of secularism and back toward its foundational roots.

The imagery used is powerful—drawing parallels to a shepherd guiding a flock toward home. By gathering at the "front yard" of the Capitol, the administration is signaling that true liberty isn't something granted by a government office, but a gift from a higher power that needs to be reclaimed and protected.

HONORING THE ROOTS OF 1776

The date of May 17 wasn't chosen by accident. It carries the weight of history. On that same day in 1776, the Continental Congress called for a national day of fasting and prayer before the Declaration of Independence was even a finished document.

By choosing this specific anniversary, the Jubilee bridges the gap between the Founders' vision and the modern day. It suggests that the "Divine Providence" invoked at the birth of the Republic is exactly what is needed to sustain it today.

BRINGING FAITH BACK TO THE CLASSROOM

The movement isn't staying confined to the National Mall; it’s heading into the hallways of our schools. During the National Prayer Breakfast, the President announced new Department of Education guidelines aimed at lifting what many describe as "spiritual shackles" on campus.

The goal is to ensure that students and teachers don't have to leave their faith at the schoolhouse door. By protecting religious expression and ensuring schools don't favor secularism over faith, the policy aims to create a level playing field where the "Children of God" can speak and pray freely.

A GLOBAL RIPPLE OF RENEWED HOPE

This spirit of renewal is finding an echo across the Atlantic. In Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has been championing a "Renewed Hope" agenda, centered on national resilience and divine guidance.

There is a growing, unofficial alignment between leaders who believe that a nation’s prosperity is tied to its spiritual foundation. Whether in Washington or Abuja, the message remains the same: a people find their greatest strength when they look upward.

"We are going to rededicate America as one nation under God," the President declared. As May 17 approaches, the world is watching to see if this "National Jubilee" will be the turning point many have prayed for—a homecoming for the heart of a nation.

God bless President Trump, God bless America, God bless President Tinubu, and God bless Nigeria.
