BAYELSA PPSB BEGINS 2023/2024 PROMOTION EXERCISE AS CHAIRMAN CHARGES PANEL TO BE FIRM AND FAIR
The 2024 Promotion exercise has begun for staff of the Bayelsa State Post-Primary Schools Board (PPSB) who are due for promotion from January 2023, to January 2024.
Declaring the exercise open, Chairman of the Board, High Chief Millionaire Asangba charged the team of examiners to be firm and fair with the candidates.
He acknowledged that since the Governor's assumption of duty in 2020, teachers and non-teaching staff of the board have been given priority attention as every other civil servants in the state.
"Promotion exercise is a key motivational tool for workers welfare and Governor Douye Diri doesn't joke with it. That's why he has ensured that staff get their due promotion as of when due." He stated
Four panels were constituted by the Head Human Resources (HRM) Mrs Rosa Koroye to carter for staff at various levels and cadres.
Candidates were sighted prepping up for the exercise as Yenagoa Zonal Education staff took their turn on the first day.
THE PROMOTION SCHEDULE FOR JANUARY 2023, JULY 2023 AND JANUARY 2024 is as follows:
1. MONDAY 22ND APRIL- YENAGOA ZONE.
2. TUESDAY 23RD APRIL - OGBIA AND KOLGA ZONES.
3. WEDNESDAY 24TH APRIL- NEMBE, BRASS AND EKEREMOR ZONES.
4. THURSDAY, APRIL 25TH, - SILGA I, SILGA II AND SAGBAMA ZONES.
5. FRIDAY 26TH, APRIL, HEADQUARTERS AND SILL OVERS
6. MONDAY 29TH APRIL- SGL 17 AND CONVERSION/UPGRADING.
