Bayelsa State 3-Day Intensive Retreat
It was a 3-day intensive and refreshing learning experience for me, the Deputy Governor, members of the State Executive Council, and other top government functionaries at the just concluded Cabinet Retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The sessions covering teamwork, policy making, procurement and entrenching transparency in governance, public financial reporting, budget and implementation, emotional intelligence, Executive-Legislative relationship, Political Appointees-Civil Servants relationship and others were expository and very impactful to the participants.
We have been re-energized to deliver on the ASSURED Agenda for Prosperity in this our second term.
I greatly appreciate all our Resource Persons, the Retreat Facilitator, Ambassador (Dr.) Boladei Igali, and the Planning Team for a well organised programme. Nua!
And in a rare show of solidarity, my colleague and brother, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom State joined us at the retreat on Wednesday with his team as a great host, where we both once again agreed to further the regional cooperation to enhance the socio-economic and infrastructural development of states in the South-South.
