Bayelsa Governor, Senator Douye Diri today attended the inauguration of the Body of Neutrals of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (ADRC) at the Harold Dappa-Biriye conference hall, Golden Tulip, Onopa, Yenagoa.
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (ADRC) is a special out-of-court unit of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) which is assigned to resolve issues of oil and gas between host communities.
Governor Diri appreciated Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, and his team in the Upstream sector for relocating the Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre to Yenagoa.
The Governor also stressed the need for the amendment of some sections of the PIA, noting that it should include State and Local Government Areas.
"I want to call on the relocation of the headquarters of all the international oil companies to be relocated to their place of operations in the Niger Delta," Governor Diri stated.
Some of the inaugurated members are Hon. Justice Nayai Aganaba (Rtd), CP Akpoebi Agberebi (Rtd), Mr Herbert Akpomuje, SAN, Mr. Frank Akpofure, Prince P. Green, Mr. Chris Tamunoseila, Mr. Bayo Aloge, Mr. Akpobi Akpokiniovo, Barr. Ojukwu Chiakasuonu,SAN, Ms Olabimpe Folakemi and Mr. Fubara.
