PDP May Lose a Governor, David Mark or Gabriel Suswam Can Revive the Party – Primate Ayodele

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a cautionary prophecy regarding the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). According to him, the party is on the verge of losing one of its governors to another political party soon, highlighting the deepening challenges facing Nigeria’s main opposition party.

Leadership Crisis: A Threat to PDP’s Survival

In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele expressed concerns over the party’s current leadership, particularly under the chairmanship of Umar Damagum. The cleric warned that under Damagum’s leadership, the party is headed for disaster, predicting its potential collapse before 2027 if significant changes are not made.

He described the PDP’s situation as dire, characterizing the party as being in a “mortuary state.” This metaphor emphasizes the stagnation and near-death state of the party under its current management.

David Mark and Gabriel Suswam: The Party's Potential Saviors

Primate Ayodele further recommended a shift in leadership to save the PDP from impending failure. According to him, only two individuals possess the capability to revitalize the party: former Senate President David Mark or former Governor of Benue State Gabriel Suswam.

“The PDP will soon lose a governor because the party is currently in a mortuary state. With Damagum as the party chairman, the party cannot succeed. Let them pick between Gabriel Suswam and David Mark,” the Primate stated. He emphasized that either of these two figures could withstand external political pressures and lead the PDP back to prominence.

The Need for Reconciliation and Strategic Alliances

In addition to proposing a change in leadership, Primate Ayodele advised the PDP to form a reconciliation committee as a critical step toward survival. He noted that the party has much work to do if it hopes to remain relevant until 2027, stressing the importance of unity within the ranks.

“A reconciliation committee is necessary if they want to move forward,” he urged, adding that such measures could prevent the party from further disintegration.

Call for PDP and Labour Party Merger

As part of his strategic advice, the prophet called for a possible merger between the PDP and the Labour Party to create a more formidable political front. He highlighted the need for both parties to demonstrate greater seriousness in the political arena, particularly in light of the ruling party’s dominance.

“PDP has a lot to do ahead of 2027. The party should merge with the Labour Party to show seriousness,” Primate Ayodele said, further warning that even the Labour Party has faced spiritual attacks orchestrated by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Conclusion: Urgency for Change

Primate Ayodele's revelations point to an urgent need for leadership reform, unity, and strategic alliances within the PDP. As the party faces the possibility of losing one of its governors, it remains to be seen whether these warnings will inspire the necessary changes or whether the PDP will continue its downward spiral under its current leadership
