Ambassador Godknows-Boladei-Igali remains a distinguished voice for the Niger Delta and the Ijaw Nation, consistently demonstrating leadership rooted in service, integrity, and genuine concern for people’s progress. His tenure as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), is widely remembered for the remarkable opportunities it created for Ijaw sons and daughters.

Through his support and intervention, more than eighty Ijaw students have gained admission into FUTA across multiple academic sessions — a testament to his commitment to educational empowerment and equitable access.
