On Friday, November 1, 2025, Dr. Salawu was conferred with the prestigious title of Fellow (FCIB) by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) at a grand ceremony held at the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos. This recognition stands as a testament to his exceptional achievements, integrity, and commitment to advancing the banking and financial sector in Nigeria.

Dr. Salawu, who was the First National Director of Finance of the PDP and a former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, has consistently distinguished himself as a man of deep intellect, professional competence, and visionary leadership. A lawyer, accountant, and economist of rare versatility, he continues to inspire confidence across political and professional circles, particularly as a top candidate from the North Central geopolitical zone for the PDP National Chairmanship position.

His FCIB Fellowship Election marks the seventh Career fellowship awarded to His Excellency by renowned global and professional institutes, reflecting a career hallmarked by excellence, service, and a relentless pursuit of integrity in leadership. 

Dr Salawu is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN; a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN; a fellow of the Chartered Institute of StockBrokers of Nigeria, CIS; a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Forensic Auditors and Fraud Investigators of Nigeria, a fellow of Association of Forensic Auditors in Canada and an Associate of the British Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants.

Through his continuous dedication to nation-building and professional distinction, Dr. Phillips Omeiza Salawu remains a beacon of inspiration—an embodiment of discipline, intellect, and selfless service to Nigeria and humanity.
