Sixteen passengers remain in captivity following an abduction that took place on Wednesday along the Kogi highway. The incident occurred when armed perpetrators intercepted the vehicle, forcibly detaining the victims and transporting them to an unknown location. Authorities and local search parties continue efforts to trace the abductors, though no official contact or ransom demands have been reported at this time.
