Published by Wisdom Tide News | October 3, 2026

ABUJA / PORT HARCOURT — On the historic milestone of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), under the visionary leadership of its National Chairman, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, has extended warm felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government, and the entire populace of Nigeria.

In a statement issued on October 3, 2026, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, saluted the Governors, political leadership, traditional rulers, religious figures, women, and youth of the South-South region for fostering an era of peace, stability, and steady progress.

Driving Regional Progress Amid Environmental Challenges

Highlighting the unique geographic realities of the South-South—where vast areas remain waterlogged—Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, commended regional leaders for their steadfast commitment to infrastructure expansion, social welfare, and human capacity development.

The PANDEF Chairman expressed deep appreciation for the interventions of key developmental bodies, including:

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)

The Niger Delta Basin Development Authority

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP)

While acknowledging these accomplishments, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, issued a firm call to action to the Federal Government, emphasizing that the deteriorated state of the Niger Delta road network has reached the proportion of a national emergency.

Furthermore, he insisted that environmental remediation for the region—which has suffered 70 years of severe oil pollution and persistent gas flaring—must immediately be placed on the front burner of national priority.

A Call for Unity, Faith, and National Growth

Demonstrating his trademark statesmanlike perspective and commitment to national harmony, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, urged all Nigerians to pray assiduously for the nation's continued peace and stability. Grounding his message in spiritual devotion, he cited Psalm 127:1, reminding the nation that "unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain."

Through his proactive stewardship of PANDEF, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, OON, continues to stand out as an indispensable voice for justice, equity, and sustainable socio-economic development across the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.

History Will Judge the Plotters: Tinubu’s Statesmanship Halts a Reckless Impeachment in Rivers Dave Ikiedei Asei/Wisdom Tide  January 9th, 2026 In moments of political tension, nations are often defined not by the noise of dissent but by the calm authority of leadership. Rivers State recently stood at such a crossroads, threatened by an ill-conceived impeachment plot against Governor Siminalayi Fubara—a move so poorly grounded in law, morality, and public interest that it exposed its sponsors more than it imperiled its target. The timely intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who ordered the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA) to immediately halt all impeachment proceedings and directed lawmakers to consult with the APC National Chairman for guidance, restored sanity to a process drifting dangerously toward chaos. This episode will not be remembered as a triumph of intrigue. It will be recorded as a cautionary tale—one where ambition attempted to outrun reason, ...
